Meet Our Team

Jeff Hathaway is responsible for originating and executing investment banking transactions in the insurance and wealth management sectors.

Mr. Hathaway brings 20 years of experience to Sherman & Company, including 17 years in insurance investment banking and three years in corporate development for major insurance and wealth management firms.

Mr. Hathaway joined Sherman & Company from World Insurance Associates, where he was a senior leader on the corporate development team focused on insurance and wealth management transactions. For the ten years prior to World, Mr. Hathaway was a director and partner with Dowling Hales, where he advised clients on a wide range of insurance distribution transactions across the retail, MGA, and wholesale sectors. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hathaway held insurance investment banking and M&A positions at American International Group (AIG) and Marsh & McLennan, in Guy Carpenter’s investment banking group.  

Mr. Hathaway is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, received his B.A. with Highest Honors in Political Science from Temple University and earned an M.B.A. from Temple University’s Fox School of Business. He maintains securities licenses for Series 7, 24, 63, and 79 and holds the Associate in Reinsurance designation.
